Its approach is play-based and inspired by Reggio Emilia, with an emergent curriculum that follows the children's interests, a mixed-age setting, and an emphasis on social-emotional development. The website describes a nurturing environment where each child's individuality is celebrated, and it says the school keeps small student-to-teacher ratios, beyond state requirements. The school is licensed by the California Department of Social Services for up to 33 children under license number 198020840, and it takes preschool-age children, generally ages 2 to 5. It is offering rolling admission for the 2026-2027 school year.
