It serves families in six counties (Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado, Nevada and Alpine) from an office in Sacramento, working in a hybrid mode with online consultations and visits at resource fairs and events. It does not provide therapy itself. It gives information on services such as Alta California Regional Center, special education, California Children's Services and In-Home Supportive Services, runs workshops on special education and advocacy, and pairs families with trained Community Navigators who are parents with personal experience. Staff include bilingual navigators and specialists, and there is a Spanish phone line.","website":"https://warmlinefrc.org/","phone":"(916) 455-9500","email":"warmline@warmlinefrc.org","instagram":null,"founded":null,"credentials":[],"languages":[],"image":null},"location":{"id":"main","name":null,"street":"3336 Bradshaw Rd","unit":"Suite 255","city":"arden-arcade","zip":"95827","neighborhood":null,"coords":[-121.33635,38.56251],"precision":"exact"},"serviceArea":[],"programs":[{"id":"community-navigator","type":"health","name":"Community Navigator Program","summary":"Families of children with disabilities are matched with a trained parent navigator for guidance on services, therapies, resources and special education.","description":"Families with a child recently diagnosed with a disability, or who need help finding their way, are connected with a Community Navigator, a trained staff member who has personal experience caring for someone with a disability. Together they set goals that fit the family's needs, such as setting up and navigating services and therapies, connecting with community resources, understanding special education, and learning more about the child's disability. The support lasts as long as the family wants it and ends when they no longer need that level of help. Meetings can happen by phone, Zoom, email or in person. The program serves children from birth to 22 and also supports individuals with disabilities aged 22 and older. Families in Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado, Nevada and Alpine counties can submit a referral form online, and a navigator calls back. WarmLine also runs Early Start and special education support.","categories":["early-intervention"],"ages":{"min":0,"max":21},"health":{"specialties":["Family navigation","Early Start / early intervention information","Special education and IEP support"]},"traits":{"specialNeeds":"focused","acceptingNew":true,"telehealth":true,"parents":"watch","feel":"A low-pressure, collaborative kind of support from navigators who are parents of children with disabilities themselves."}}],"source":{"url":"https://warmlinefrc.org/what-we-do/community-navigator-program.html","fetched":"2026-10-13"},"updated":"2026-10-13","checked":"2026-10-13","closed":null,"sample":false}
