## In-school behavior intervention (BII/BID)

Ages 5+

Classroom-based behavior intervention for students with disabilities, delivered through a state-certified nonpublic agency. BII therapists work alongside the child's teacher to carry out the student's Behavior Intervention Plan or Behavior Treatment Plan and to support annual IEP goals. BID supervisors design the individualized, data-driven plans and give families behavioral strategies for home. The service is meant for students with significant problem behaviors that interfere with learning, and aims to maximize independence. All therapists have 60-plus hours of training a year, are directly supervised by BID supervisors, and attend in-service meetings; all supervisors hold a Master's degree. Serves school-age students, kindergarten through grade 12 and up to age 22, and is arranged through the school district.
