## Prime Time Games inclusive sports

Special needs camp · Up to age 21

Established in 2003, the Prime Time Games is Team Prime Time's full-inclusion sports program and league. Children and students with developmental disabilities compete and learn together with lower-income youth from the same Title I school, who serve as their coaches and peer mentors. TPT describes it as an evidence-based program and the only league of its kind; it is also offered as a standalone program, and more than 100 schools nationwide have taken part. TPT is a vendor of Lanterman Regional Center for camping services, so regional center funding may apply for eligible families. TPT's office is on Overland Ave. in West Los Angeles; its after-school sites are at LAUSD campuses on the Westside, including Ivanhoe Elementary. Specific ages, schedules and fees are not published on the pages.

## Prime Time Games inclusion sports league

Social skills groups · Up to age 21

The Prime Time Games is Team Prime Time's full-inclusion sports program, started in 2003, in which children with developmental disabilities compete and learn alongside students from the same Title I school who serve as their coaches and peer mentors. It runs as a league of group sports classes in 10-week seasons for children ages 5 and up, at LAUSD and Inglewood campuses. Team Prime Time also runs after-school programs at 14 LAUSD schools (3 to 6 p.m.) with a low staffing ratio, including homework support, athletics, art and STEM. The Games are funded through regional center vendorship (Eastern Los Angeles, Lanterman and Westside). Over 100 schools nationwide have taken part. The program emphasizes teamwork, peer connection and sports skills rather than clinical therapy.
