## Pediatric feeding therapy (occupational therapy)

Up to age 21

Feeding therapy delivered by pediatric occupational therapist Debra Rabin, who has focused for more than 15 years of private practice on children in the Early Intervention population with eating and feeding challenges. Care begins with a thorough evaluation of the child's medical and feeding history, oral motor and sensory skills, family and mealtime situation. Treatment takes a whole-child approach and involves parents as active team members. Techniques named on the site include the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Marsha Dunn Klein's Get Permission approach, RMT and Ellyn Satter's Division of Responsibility. The practice covers oral motor and medical feeding problems, mealtime planning, transitioning to table food, picky eaters versus problem feeders, and mealtime battles. Serves the West Los Angeles area including West Hollywood and La Brea, and telehealth is available. Regional center funding is possible through Lanterman vendorization.
