## Child, adolescent and family therapy

Up to age 21

Psychodynamic psychotherapy with children, adolescents and their families, drawing on attachment theory, relational theories and self-psychology. The practice addresses anxiety, depression, eating disorders, aggressive behaviors, academic and social difficulties, and trauma, including post-traumatic stress after abuse, family or social violence. It also works with families of high-conflict divorce on co-parenting and parallel parenting, and offers reunification therapy when a child or teen has become alienated from a parent. Family estrangement and couples work are also offered, and adults are seen too. Treatment is individualized to each person's history, personality and cultural background. Sessions are available in person at the Santa Monica Blvd office or virtually.

Janet Woznica, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and certified psychoanalyst in private practice in West Los Angeles. She sees adults, adolescents, children and families. She co-created and co-directed the Trauma Studies Program at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, and co-directed Project Tikvah, a Jewish youth suicide prevention program, for 18 years. She has taught graduate courses at Antioch University and Pepperdine University.
