# LA County Parks & Recreation, Victoria Community Regional Park

> Basketball program · Carson. Los Angeles County’s parks department, which runs community parks and nature centers, mostly in unincorporated areas. About 45 of its parks host after-school programs with homework help, snacks and activities, many of them free; it also runs teen clubs, junior ranger programs and low-cost youth sports, including a winter basketball league with the LA Clippers that has girls-only divisions.

## Fall Basketball Clinics

Ages 5–14 · Free

Loma Alta Park runs Thursday clinics from October 8 to November 5: ages 5-7 at 5pm and ages 8-14 at 6:30pm. Victoria Park in Carson runs beginner (5:30pm) and advanced (6:30pm) sessions for ages 7-14 on Tuesdays and Thursdays through October 22; its registration has closed.

## Volleyball Clinics at Victoria Park

Ages 7–16 · Free

The girls' clinic meets Wednesdays and Fridays 4-7pm and Saturdays 2-4pm through November 14; the co-ed clinic meets Mondays 5-8:30pm through November 2. Both are full for fall 2026, with waiting lists open.
