## Learning Disorder & Dyslexia Testing

Up to age 17 · $4,625–$5,700

A psychoeducational evaluation for children and teens who struggle with reading, writing or math despite working hard. Dr. Salanga tests cognitive functioning, attention and executive functioning, memory, reading, writing, math, fine motor and visual-motor skills, oral language and emotional screening. When testing points to reading difficulty, she may add measures such as phonological processing, rapid naming and orthographic processing. Testing is about 5–6 hours of one-on-one work over 1–3 appointments, with a feedback meeting about 2–3 weeks later and a full written report with recommendations and accommodations. Most comprehensive evaluations are a flat fee of $4,625 or $5,700. The practice does not take insurance but can give a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. A free 20-minute consultation comes first.

MindWorks Psychological Assessments is a psychological testing practice in Calabasas, owned by licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Shabnam Salanga, Ph.D. It was formerly the Psychoeducational Assessment Center. It provides psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents and adults in Calabasas and surrounding Los Angeles and Ventura County communities.
