## Speech therapy

Ages 1+

Speech-language therapy from ASHA-certified, California-licensed speech pathologists at the West Los Angeles office, with Zoom services also noted by the practice. Therapists evaluate and treat childhood apraxia of speech, articulation and phonological disorders, stuttering and fluency, expressive and receptive language delays, dysarthria, auditory processing disorder, social communication, autism (including JASPER-trained therapists) and augmentative and alternative communication. Team members also work with Down syndrome, ADHD, cerebral palsy, hearing loss and feeding aversions, and offer orofacial myofunctional therapy and feeding therapy. Clients range from 18 months upward, and adults are seen too. Some therapists run social skills groups. The team works with parents, caregivers and other professionals on each child's plan.

## Pediatric occupational therapy

Up to age 21

Pediatric occupational therapy with an individualized, holistic approach built on motivating, targeted play activities. OT works on gross and fine motor skills, balance and coordination, handwriting, attention and executive functioning, sensory processing and self-regulation, visual motor and perceptual skills, self-feeding and oral motor skills, self-care and independence, motor planning, play and social participation, and coping skills. The practice's site lists red flags for parents, such as avoiding coloring or handwriting, difficulty with transitions, tactile sensitivities, a limited food repertoire and clumsiness. Occupational therapy sits alongside the practice's speech and feeding therapy, and the therapists work as a team.
