## Soto Street Elementary (K-6)

Ages 5–12 · Free

Soto Street Elementary is a tuition-free public school at 1020 South Soto Street in Boyle Heights, run by the Los Angeles Unified School District. It serves kindergarten through sixth grade, so students are about five to twelve years old, in a traditional elementary program. The state school directory lists it as a regular public school, without a magnet, dual-language, online or independent-study program. Its teachers are credentialed under California rules, and state funding covers instruction, so families pay no tuition. Admission follows home address, because the district assigns neighborhood schools by attendance area. The school suits a Boyle Heights family that wants a free, local K-6 school with a standard curriculum and no selection process.
