## Summer Basketball Camp

Basketball camp · Ages 4–13

Weekly summer basketball camps for boys and girls in grades K-8, with a Mini camp for pre-kindergarten through 3rd grade, a Big Kids camp for grades 4-8, and an All Girls camp for grades K-8. Days include skill work through games, scrimmages, and All-Star Thursday and Friday competitions. Camps run morning and afternoon sessions at Sport Courts Fitness, and kids attending both bring a lunch. Registration includes a camp t-shirt, photos and daily snacks. ## Winter Basketball League

Basketball program · Ages 5–13

A winter recreation basketball league for boys and girls in grades K-8 of all skill levels. Teams are grouped by grade (3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th), with Silver (younger, less experienced) and Gold (older, more experienced) divisions in some boys divisions; K-2 leagues are co-ed and keep no score. Each team has one one-hour practice a week on weekday evenings or Saturdays, and games are played on Sundays from January to March (7-8 games). An all-play rule gives every player equal time. Volunteer coaches, many of them parents, lead teams, and players get double-sided NBA and WNBA style uniforms. Kids can sign up with a whole team of up to 10, with friends, or solo and be placed on a team. Grade 3-8 playoffs finish the season, with Gold championships at Golden 1 Center.

## About Buzzardball Hoops

Buzzardball is a youth basketball organization in the Sacramento area run by director Steve Buzzard. It began in 1994 as a small summer basketball camp at St. Michael's in Carmichael and now runs a winter recreation league, a summer camp, and a summer league. The winter league has been running about 21 seasons, with volunteer coaches, an all-play rule that gives every player equal court time, and championship games for grades 3-8 at Golden 1 Center. Families come from greater Sacramento and from Folsom, Davis, Elk Grove, Roseville and Rocklin.
