## Summer Basketball Camp

Basketball camp · Ages 4–13 · $300–$350/week

Weekly summer basketball camps at Sport Courts Fitness for boys and girls. Mini camp covers pre-K to 3rd grade, Big Kids covers 4th-8th grade with 2v2 to 4v4 mini tournaments, an All Girls week covers K-8, and general sessions cover K-8. Each week builds skills through games, scrimmages and daily stretching, and ends with All-Star Thursday events and a Friday tournament in which every team plays at least two games. Morning and afternoon sessions can be combined into a full day, with kids bringing lunch. Registration includes a camp t-shirt, photos, daily snacks and the end-of-week festivities. Price is $300 to $350 per week, depending on session and whether the camper is a first-timer or a veteran. 2027 dates are not yet posted.

## Winter Basketball League

Basketball program · Ages 5–13

A recreational winter league for boys and girls in grades K-8 of all levels. Teams are grouped by grade (K-2 co-ed with no score kept; 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th boys and girls), with Silver (beginner to mid) and Gold (competitive) divisions in some grades. Each team has one hour-long practice a week on weekday evenings or Saturdays, and games are played on Sundays from January to March, 7 to 8 games in all. An all-play rule gives every player equal court time. Kids can sign up solo, with friends, or as a whole team of up to 10. Players get double-sided uniforms, and 3rd-8th grade Gold champions play at Golden 1 Center. Registration for 2027 is open.

## About Buzzardball Hoops

Buzzardball is a recreational youth basketball organization in the Sacramento area run by director Steve Buzzard. The summer camp began in 1994 at St. Michael's in Carmichael and now runs at Sport Courts Fitness; the winter league is in its 21st season. Players come from across Greater Sacramento, including Folsom, Davis, Elk Grove, Roseville and Rocklin. Both programs are open to boys and girls of all skill levels and stress sportsmanship and life skills.
